1. Design and Appearance
Identical Nautilus Design: Continuing the “portal” case design of Gérald Genta, the octagonal bezel paired with rounded lugs creates a sleek and elegant look, combining sportiness and luxury. The case is crafted from 316L stainless steel, finely brushed and polished to present a warm and sophisticated metallic luster.
Dial Design: The dark gray dial features classic horizontal stripes (a signature Nautilus design), fading from the center to the edges, creating subtle light and shadow effects. The layout is as follows:
12 o’clock: Power Reserve indicator (0-48 hours);
6 o’clock: Moon phase display + date display;
4 o’clock: Small seconds sub-dial;
Paired with applied white gold hour markers and hands, inlaid with luminescent coating for clear readability in low-light conditions; the dial is engraved with the “PATEK PHILIPPE GENEVE” brand logo, and the “SWISS” mark is indicated at 6 o’clock.
Strap Design: The watch features a black alligator leather strap (standard original stainless steel bracelet), with a pin buckle/folding clasp for comfortable wear. It can be replaced with a stainless steel bracelet for a sportier look.
Crystal and Crown: Anti-reflective sapphire crystal glass, clear and scratch-resistant; screw-down crown engraved with the Patek Philippe cross logo, ensuring water resistance.
2. Movement and Performance
Core Movement: Powered by Patek Philippe’s in-house Cal. 240 PS IRM C LU automatic micro-rotor movement, composed of 275 parts, including 29 jewels, oscillating at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3Hz), with a power reserve of up to 48 hours. It is precise and stable, certified by the Patek Philippe Superlative Chronometer Testing Institute (PP Seal), and is a classic Patek Philippe complicated movement.
Functionality: Basic hour, minute, and small seconds display; Power reserve indicator (12 o’clock); Moon phase display + date display (6 o’clock); Water resistance 60 meters (6 bar), suitable for everyday handwashing and splashes (not for swimming or diving).
3. Materials and Craftsmanship: Case/Strap Material: 316L stainless steel (case), black alligator leather (strap, standard factory fitment); Case Back Design: Sapphire crystal case back, offering a clear view of the exquisite finishing of the micro-rotor and the movement’s operation. The rotor is engraved with the Patek Philippe cross logo, showcasing top-tier watchmaking craftsmanship; Craftsmanship Details: The case, strap, and movement all adhere to Patek Philippe’s high-end watchmaking standards. The beveling, polishing, and finishing techniques are exquisite, with every detail meticulously crafted, representing the pinnacle of handcrafted watchmaking.
