1. Design and Appearance (Core Highlights)
Identical Tonneau-Shaped Case: Featuring Richard Mille’s classic tonneau (cushion-shaped) design, the main body of the case is made of black NTPT carbon fiber (multi-layered carbon fiber filaments hot-pressed), offering scratch resistance, durability, and extreme lightness. The bezel is made of red ATZ ceramic/carbon fiber, secured with 12 iconic 5-pointed star-shaped titanium screws, a design most recognizable by the brand.
Skeletonized Dial: The fully skeletonized dial has no base, using the movement’s skeleton directly as the dial, showcasing the ultimate beauty of the mechanical structure. The hands are skeletonized luminescent hands with an embedded luminescent coating, ensuring clear readability in low-light conditions. The crystal is a domed sapphire crystal, transparent and scratch-resistant, fully displaying the movement details.
Strap and Crown: A red high-performance rubber strap with a titanium quick-change system offers lightweight comfort. The crown is made of red carbon fiber/titanium with a non-slip texture, engraved with the brand logo, providing a solid feel for adjustment and ensuring water resistance.
Material and Craftsmanship: The NTPT carbon fiber case weighs only about 40g (including the strap), 70% lighter than ordinary steel watches, while being 5 times harder than steel. It is corrosion-resistant and withstands extreme environments, a signature material of Richard Mille.
2. Movement and Performance
Core Movement: Powered by Richard Mille’s in-house RMUL3 automatic skeletonized movement, composed of 269 parts, including 31 jewels, with a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz), a power reserve of up to 55 hours, and accurate and stable timekeeping. The movement features a skeletonized design, with the rotor made of skeletonized titanium, perfectly complementing the dial design.
Functions:
Hours, minutes, and seconds display (central hands);
Power reserve indicator (movement case back/dial side);
Water resistance to 50 meters (5 bar), suitable for everyday handwashing and splashes (not for swimming or diving). 3. Materials and Craftsmanship
Case Material: NTPT carbon fiber (multi-layered parallel carbon fiber filaments, hot-pressed for a unique texture); bezel: red ATZ ceramic/carbon fiber.
Case Back Design: Sapphire crystal case back, offering a direct view of the movement’s exquisite finishing and the rotor’s operation. Every component is hand-beveled and polished, showcasing top-tier watchmaking craftsmanship.
Craftsmanship Details: The case, movement, and screws all adhere to Richard Mille’s top-tier watchmaking standards. Each timepiece is handcrafted, with extremely limited production, making it highly collectible.
