1. Design and Appearance
Identical Bezel: Featuring Rolex’s patented Cerachrom ceramic bezel, molded in a single piece of gold, with 18K gold infill for scratch-resistant, wear-resistant, and tarnish-free markings. Engraved with the “UNITS PER HOUR” tachymeter scale, the most recognizable design element of the Daytona series, used to calculate average speed.
Case and Crown: The Oyster case is crafted in two-tone (stainless steel + 18K gold), robust and corrosion-resistant. The right side features three crowns/buttons: a central screw-down Triplock crown for time setting, and chronograph pushers above and below for start/stop/reset. All are triple-sealed for water resistance, and the crown is engraved with the Rolex crown logo.
Dial Design: Classic white dial with a small bezel layout:
3 o’clock: 30-minute counter;
6 o’clock: Small seconds counter;
9 o’clock: 12-hour counter;
Featuring applied 18K gold hour markers and Mercedes hands with luminescent coating for excellent readability in low light; the dial is engraved with brand logos such as “ROLEX,” “OYSTER PERPETUAL,” “SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED,” and “COSMOGRAPH,” with “SWISS MADE” and a hidden crown clasp at 6 o’clock for authenticity.
Bracelet Design: Two-tone (stainless steel + 18K gold) Oyster bracelet with three rows of links, offering a comfortable and snug fit, and a concealed crown clasp, combining sportiness and luxury.
Crystal: Anti-reflective sapphire crystal, clear and scratch-resistant, showcasing the dial details perfectly.
