Design: The case features Rolex’s classic Oyster construction, paired with a black ceramic (Cerachrom) tachymeter bezel engraved with “UNITS PER HOUR” markings, a design element used in racing timing. The black dial features three silver/steel chronograph subdials (a three-register design): a 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock, a 12-hour counter at 3 o’clock, and a small seconds subdial at 9 o’clock. The hands and hour markers are coated with Chromalight luminescent material for excellent legibility in low-light conditions. The case is fitted with a screw-down Triplock crown and chronograph pushers, utilizing a double waterproof system for convenient operation and enhanced water resistance.
Materials and Craftsmanship: The case and bracelet are crafted from 904L stainless steel, offering exceptional corrosion resistance and durability. A fine polishing process reveals a delicate metallic luster. The crystal is scratch-resistant sapphire glass, providing both clarity and durability. The bracelet is a classic three-link Oyster bracelet with a concealed folding clasp for a secure and comfortable fit.
Movement Performance: Equipped with Rolex’s in-house developed Calibre 4130 (new generation Calibre 4131) automatic chronograph movement, COSC certified, with a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, a power reserve of up to 72 hours, precise and stable timekeeping, zero error in chronograph function, and excellent anti-magnetic properties; water-resistant to 100 meters (330 feet), suitable for everyday handwashing, rain, and water sports.
Style Suitability: The design is robust and sophisticated, combining sportiness and luxury, suitable for racing, outdoor sports, and can also be paired with suits and casual wear. It is a symbol of status in business negotiations and high-end social settings, and also possesses high collectible and investment value.
